CDS stand for Combined Defence Services examination. The CDS 1 2023 exam is conducted by the UPSC twice a year. On December 21, 2022, UPSC released the official CDS Notification 2023 regarding the CDS 1 2023 examination on its official website. It is a national-level competitive examination which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) twice a year to select the candidates who want to serve in the defence services such as the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Naval Academy and Officer Training Academy. The CDS Exam Application form will be available for the candidates from 21 December 2022 to 10 January 2023..

The candidates who qualify Stage I will be allowed to appear for Stage-II
examination. Candidates who qualify both the stages need to undergo Medical
Examination before being recruited in the UPSC.UPSC CDS 2023 Exam Pattern
The CDS I 2023 will be conducted in pen and paper mode. The exam will be
conducted in two sessions - Morning and Forenoon.
